The sunset was breathtaking and incredibly calming. The thick clouds shone brighter than usual and with more vivid colors than ever before.
It had been a hard day for the hero but for the moment she forgot all about it. The last sun rays washed away the worries and memories, for now. She would never truly forget, but what mattered was the here and now. She made it this far and she would do her best to improve, learn and hopefully reach her ultimate potential. As the sun set and the darkness closed in, the hero came to from the trance feeling a somewhat better from before as if a heavy weight lifted off her chest. She wiped the tears she didn't notice before and smiled slightly.
She missed her mother so much and she hoped that she would have been proud.
