Comments: Ethan, Eli and I visited the location where Ethan had a near death experience in the rapids of the Ganges. His raft flipped and a couple of riders he was with fell out of the boat when they went over a waterfall. Ethan was pulled under by the currents. Descended to the cold dark and silent depths. Accepting his fate quietly, Accepting his death as apparitions of his families faces swung around him. Saying goodbye to each of his loved ones. A light touched him and he let go. Miraculously broke the tide and floated to the surface as he let out his last breath. An arm from above the waters, which looked like an angels arm stretching from heaven grabbed hold of him and lifted him out of the waters. It was his friend who saved his life. Unfortunately there was one soul who lost their life on this day, his name was Nico. Ethan carried his photo of him to honor him and heal this wound that he has been carried for over a decade. Dunking in the water to face his fear, to take his power back from the water that almost took him away, to heal with his brother and create stronger bonds as Eli extends his hand in safety like an anchor in the sand. To pray to the portrait of Nico and remember his smile. The water cleansed our souls, purged our fears, and let go of all the weight we carry. Releasing guilt, releasing grief, releasing parts of our old selves that do not serve us anymore. After the baptism we sat on the rocks to meditate and glaze at the sun while it sparkles across the surface of the calm ripples carrying us away. God bless you Nico.
